Hello Friends!
I hope you are all doing well this week! If you are like me and starting to think about Easter, I've got something special for you today....
Here's and idea for an easy appetizer. I got this recipe right off the Pillsbury.com website.
It's loaded with ideas that are very easy and usually only require a few ingredients.
I made these sweet onion pinwheels on Easter a few years ago and everyone loved them.
I might make them again this year : )
The fresh chives made all the difference.
♥
All you need is...
1/2 cup chopped sweet onions
1/4 cup shredded Italian Cheese blend
2 tbs cream cheese, softened
1 tbs mayonnaise
1 can Pillsbury refrigerated crescent rolls
2 tsp chopped fresh chives
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix onions, cheeses, and mayo until well blended and soft.
Unroll dough on work surface, but do not separate. Firmly press perforations to seal.
Spread cheese mixture over dough.
Carefully roll up rectangle.
Cut roll into 16 slices (about 3/4 inch wide).
Place cut side down on greased cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with chives.
Bake 12 - 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Serve warm.
I think these are sweet enough that you could serve them with brunch as well as a dinner appetizer.
♥
In case you are interested (and as obsessed with crescent roll dough as much as I am : ) here are two other recipes I've made using the dough.
apple dumplings - I just made these last week!
lemon crescent rolls - looking at the recipe I can't wait to make them again. I love lemon! ♥
Both are easy, delicious, and would be a welcome addition to your Easter table!
Happy Tuesday Friends!
Thanks for stopping by today! xoxoxo
yum, they look so good. I don't know if we can get that particular dough in the UK. Is it the same as dough used for croissant, or is it a bread dough?

Hi Sadie,
DeleteYes, it's refrigerated croissant or crescent roll dough (not pie dough). I hope you can find something comparable. It's really good and easy! xx
Love this idea, Danielle!~
ReplyDeleteOh, they look so good! Perfect for a tea party. ;)
