John's 8th Grade Graduation!

It seems like only yesterday John was preparing for his first communion in second grade.  Where did the time go? (can you find him??....back row, last one on the right : )

On Friday night we celebrated his 8th grade graduation.  Most of the kids in the class have been together since preschool.  It was a wonderful ceremony.  Very exciting and bittersweet at the same time.  They will all go on now to different schools and in different directions, but they will have their memories of St. Francis Xavier School to take with them.

John with is principal, Mr. Murphy.

And friends!

This was a very challenging school year for everyone.  Luckily John's class was able to have a full year of in person learning.  It was different, difficult at times, but certainly a school year we will never forget.

The next day we celebrated with a well deserved beach day and a yummy dinner at the 99. His choice!
It was fun weekend and I'm still exhausted (mentally & physically : )

In the blink of an eye..... 😢

Now on to high school! But first....summer vacation!!!

Have a great day friends!

Byeeeee! xoxo

Elvis has left the building....♥

Last night John's school had it's second annual talent show. This show is 100% student driven.

The kids make up their own acts, pick their own music, and provide their own costumes.

It's so much fun to see the children's creativity shine in their performances!

John did two acts last night.

He did his best Elvis impersonation to Heartbreak Hotel!

(I don't think the walls of St. Francis Xavier School have ever seen such a thing : )

And then he and his best friend Jack did the Abbot & Costello "Who's on First?" skit.

They learned their lines word for word and rehearsed every day at recess for over a month.

Their performance was perfect!

I was so proud of both of them!

There were over 50 kids in the show and each one shined like a star!

Seeing this made my WEEK and John has been bopping around the house singing since last night.

A great way to end the school year! ♥

Doesn't this just put a smile on your face?
