Frozen pineapple treat ♥ (tastes like a Dole Whip!)

Hello Friends!

I hope you had a lovely week.  I can't believe it's almost Labor Day and the summer is coming to an end.  John has one more week left of summer vacation before returning back to school.  I know some of your little ones have already gone back.  Every where I look there is a back to school sale. And I've even seen Halloween candy in the grocery stores. It seems like the summer has just started and all of sudden we are at the end.  We've had a great summer.  Once again, gone by too fast ♥

I can feel the shift in the air.  We had some cooler days this past week that really made it feel like fall. We shut off the air conditioners and opened the windows.  Ahh, that fresh air.  Smells so good!

I actually just stepped outside and it's cool out! My phone said 69 degrees!

(It's Saturday night, 11:30 pm).  Why did I step outside you ask?

To take this.....

So beautiful, right?!

I wasn't going to let that go by without a proper picture ♥

Anyway.....:)

The temperatures are rising again and we are due for another hot spell over the next few days.  We are  planning on going to the beach tomorrow morning.  It will be our last beach day this summer.  One last hurrar! ♥

I intend on getting one last week of summer out of my system before I officially turn the page to fall.  Once John goes back to school it's on! Pumpkin spice and everything nice : )

So since I've still got a little bit of  summer left in me, here's a treat I've been enjoying lately that I thought I would share with you today.

All you do is take some vanilla ice cream, some frozen pineapple chunks, and a splash of either pineapple juice or orange juice, and whirl it around in the blender until it's smooth.

Pour into a glass and top with a dollop of whip cream.  It's so good! ♥

If you've ever been to Disney World and had a Dole Whip...it taste just like it! : )

Enjoy!

On Monday I'm taking John for his annual physical and then we are going back to school shopping.  School supplies, clothes, new shoes, the works. This time of the year always brings a mix of emotions.  A sadness that summer vacation is ending, but also excitement and anticipation of starting something new.

I'm going to try to live in the moment this week and make every day count.  Who's with me?! ♥

  2. Love your blog posts! You are so upbeat. Our world needs that now. The "Dole Whip" sounds great! Have a great week and fun getting John ready for school. That's always an exciting time. We had some cool weather last week and it felt like fall in the air. It's warm and summery again now, too. But soon fall will be here for good! I'm making good progress on my writing! Take care and have a wonderful week!! Jane xo
