12 Days of Christmas // Wrapping ♥

Hello Everyone!  Welcome to day 3 of the 12 days of Christmas~

Today I'm going to talk about something you either LOVE or you HATE....

Wrapping!

I took John to a birthday party today and all everyone was talking about was wrapping.  How much they had and how long it would take . I sympathized. I'm going to fill you in on a little secret about me.

I hate wrapping.

Not only do I hate it, I'm no good at it!

I don't know why I have such bad luck with wrapping but it's a nightmare! I feel like I'm a pretty crafty person, so I should be good at this. Nope.

I cut the paper too short or something rips through or my ends are a wrinkled mess.  Ugh.

This year to make my experience a little less painful I decided to splurge on some

"good" wrapping paper.  (i.e. something that costs more than .99 a roll : )

I love the look of brown paper packages and I thought if I was excited about the wrapping I may have more luck in how I felt about the task.  I was right!

I went to Hobby Lobby and bought this pretty brown paper, some lovely red sparkly tags, and red ribbon!

I enjoyed the process because this paper was a bit thicker than what I've used in the past so things weren't ripping through.

Yaaaay!

I guess in this case you get what you pay for!

*noted for next year*

I'm really delighted with how my boxes came out.  I've even more excited that I'm all done!

High Five!

So where you fall with wrapping?  Love it or Hate it? Daunting or exciting?

For tonight's tea I had my favorite Wild Berry Zinger from Celestial Seasonings.

I was in the mood for something on the sweeter side and this was perfect.

Just the fruity smell of this tea makes me happy!  ♥

A cup of tea on the night table is what my bedtime routine looks like lately...

Have a wonderful evening everyone!  See you tomorrow for day 4!

  2. Happy Sunday!!! I LOVE the look of brown paper. You say you're no good at wrapping, but your presents look beautiful! That tea is one of Nicolas's family's favorite. It reminds me of them. :)
