Ravioli lasagna ♥

I know I've seen this recipe floating around the internet for ages and I've always wanted to try it.
Saturday night we had plans to go to a tree lighting ceremony in our town.  It was a cold and frosty night and I thought this comfort meal would be perfect for when we came home.  I made the whole dish ahead of time and then just heated it up in the oven before serving.  It was so good and really hit the spot (as pasta always does : ).
There is something so comforting about hot, bubbly, tomato sauce on a cold night that really warms the soul.

What makes the difference here is the raviolis are baked (not boiled) so the edges get a bit crispy, which honestly, is the best part!

I used 2 bags of Mama Rosie's frozen ravioli ~

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

Spray the bottom of a rectangular baking dish with non stick spray.

Coat the bottom of the baking dish with a thin layer of sauce.

Lay the frozen ravioli in a single layer.

Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Cover with a layer of sauce and....

...repeat...

For the very top, spread sauce and then sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 10 minutes.

Sprinkle with fresh basil if you have it.

I served with a green salad and garlic bread on the side.

Enjoy! ♥
